Realities for Children

One of the greatest joys in running a successful business, is the ability to support the causes we hold most dear. All of us at Green CO2 Systems believe that no child should be forgotten, and every child is worth investing in. That’s why we contribute to Realities For Children, an organization that’s dedicated to solving for the unmet needs of northern Colorado children who have been abused, neglected or are at-risk. Established in 1995, Realities For Children provides emergency funding, youth activities, life essentials and resources. Currently, Realities For Children supports the services of 38 Partner Youth Agencies and represents nearly 250 Business Members, each of whom are invested in making it their business to make a difference. Green Co2 Systems is proud to be among them!

Boys & Girls club of Metro Denver

Giving kids access to educational resources and enriching activities early in life puts them on the path to greater well-being and success. That’s why Green CO2 Systems is proud to support the Boys & Girls Club of Metro Denver— one of the largest and most comprehensive youth development organizations in the area. In addition to providing kids with afterschool and summer sessions, they run a targeted behavioral intervention program during the school day as well as an ‘Extended Learning Opportunity’ at local schools, during the evenings. Their programs provide low or no-cost opportunities for youth to participate in fun and educationally enriching activities. The Boys & Girls Club is focused on three key areas: Academics & Careers, Character & Leadership, and Healthy Lifestyles.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes

Two of our big passions here at Green CO2 Systems are faith and sports. We get to support them both each month with our contributions to Fellowship of Christian Athletes. This beloved global organization is touching millions of lives by engaging, equipping and empowering coaches and athletes (on every level, from youth to pro) to change the world through the gospel.

Billy Graham once said, “A coach will impact more people in one year than the average person will in an entire lifetime.” That’s why FCA reaches out to coaches first, connecting them with Christ-centered training, events, resources and on-going support. Everything they do centers around what it means to be a follower of Christ, growing in God’s Word and applying it to life.

In addition to our monthly donations, Green CO2 Systems CEO Dwayne Furmidge and Chairman of the Board Michael Schutte are board members of the Northern Colorado Chapter, donating their time as well.

Cowboy Joe Club

Even if you are not a University of Wyoming alumni, like Green CO2 Systems Chairman of the Board Michael Schutte (who played there, too), you can likely appreciate what it means to a student athlete to have access to the educational support and resources they need to attend college. Quite literally, it’s a game changer. For many, it’s the difference between making a lifelong dream come true or watching it slip out of reach. That’s why we are proud to support the University’s Cowboy Joe Club. It also happens to be the largest booster organization in mountain west history! Being able to give back by supporting causes that make a difference is a tremendous motivator for all of us here. Any other UW Cowboy fans out there? Give a holler.

St. Jude Children’s Hospital

Green CO2 Systems is privileged to participate in St. Jude Children’s Hospital annual walk/run event, which takes place every September during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. All of the money raised goes to support St. Jude’s noble mission to see to it that families of kids with cancer never receive a bill for anything. The more you know about this organization, the more you just have to love it. Here are three inspiring facts about St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital that will fuel our walk:

  • Every child saved through discoveries from St. Jude means doctors and scientists can use that knowledge to save thousands more children around the world.
  • Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall cancer survival rate from 20% (1960s) to more than 80% today.
  • Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food — because “all a family should worry about is helping their child live.”

The Wyoming Chapter of the National Football Foundation

Founded in 1993 by former University of Wyoming Head Football Coach and Athletics Director Paul Roach, the National Football Foundation is a non-profit educational organization. Thanks in part to the leadership of former chapter presidents Keith Bloom, Mike Schutte and Jeff Felton, the Wyoming Chapter is currently the third largest of 121 chapters nationwide! Its purpose is to promote amateur football by recognizing student-athletes for their academic and athletic achievements, leadership, and community involvement. CAO Brett Schutte and his wife Robyn presented a $1,200 scholarship to Lain Mitchelson at the 2019 National Football Foundation Wyoming Chapter Awards Banquet on behalf of Green CO2 Systems. We are all big fans of academics and athletics and super proud to support this outstanding organization.
